All Carded Out Now ..
Had a mad week this week, no time for challenges, I have been making cards to donate to some of the charities I help, all different types, styles and techniques. A while ago, I had a lovely time using my friend Carol's stash of Stampin Up sets, so, I have finished off all those cards, plus made lots using my stamps, including a Flower Soft one, (don't use Flower Soft very often - looks good but goes everywhere)
You can double click on the photo's to look closer, hope you like !!

MMM - Oriental
Mixed Media Monday this week has a lovely challenge - Oriental. I made a simple ATC for this challenge, using ink, chalks and a little digital wizardry...because my coin fell off and I didn't notice until I had scanned it already - so a quick fix was needed......

ATC's and Other Goodies..
I had a lovely surprise yesterday - our postman delivered a lovely package from America, from Kristen. We swapped 3 more ATC's and she sent me a lovely load of swag to play with, plus she made me a gorgeous recipe book. There was a bag full of phrases and sayings, a tiny notebook, some pretty vellums, brill die cuts, postal ephemera, tiny pegs and die cut square hangers and four different flavours of Kool-Aid, which was totally new to me but absolutely gorgeous, although I have only tried the orange one yet - it actually makes a jugful but I only used half a cup of sugar .. the ATC's are just gorgeous, have taken a couple of close ups for you to feast your eyes on them......

Make a Moo or Two - Jigsaw Pieces
Make a Moo has a lovely challenge set by Hermine, Jigsaw Pieces. I had some pieces cut with a cuttlebug, and I used two for my very simple Moos. Stamped with Hero Arts Small Handwriting and Inkadinkadoo Winter Birds.
TGIF - Exotic Birds
Thank God it's Friday this week has the challenge Exotic Birds, I think my Bluebird may qualify, it's Inkadinkadoo stamps from their Winter Birds plate, stamped with blue dye ink and chalked over the background ...

Some Cards
These cards have been dry embossed along the top edges and down the side, and I touched them with chalks to add a little colour. I added a butterfly stamped on acetate and a 3D butterfly to one of the cards..
This one was painted with Twinkling H20's - it's such a shame the company making these tiny pots of paint has gone out of business, I recently discovered them, and love using them.........
I love this stamp - I have been asked to make some dog and cat cards for a friend, this one is the first. It's an Imagina stamp by Clarity Stamps. It's coloured with watercolour pencils.
I'ver shown the back and front of this card, so you can see how it's made, it's just a bit of fancy folding, but it looks so different.
Theme Thursday - Birds/eggs or nests
A day late, but here's my take on birds/eggs or nests. Well, I just happen to have found the perfect rubber stamp in my collection which incorporates all three items - and it seemed a nice stamp to use to make a card, which I did, coloured with Twinkling H2o's..
Why not pop over to Theme Thursday where you will find lots of gorgeous examples..

Arty Girlz - Blue and Yellow
These colours are out of my comfort zone, but I looked at my Audrey and i did her in blue and yellow - unintentionally - so I thought, let's have a go ... and here is my ATC in blue and yellow - the fabulous button is one I found in a bag of buttons I got from a charity shop for 50p - I coloured the outer part in felt tip, but it's come out black - sorry about that folks :-) the flower stamp is a Laura Ashley one.
Why not pop over to Arty Girls Challenge Blog to see all the gorgeous blue and yellow creations.

TMTA - Audrey Hepburn
Think Monday Think ATC this week has a lovely theme, Audrey Hepburn. Well, Breakfast at Tiffany's and Moon River are such wonderful memories for most of us I think. I found a Rubber Stampede stamp called Lady in a Hat, which reminds me so much of Audrey that I used it for my ATC. Also used one of Barbara's lovely Clarity stamps of the moon with clouds over it, the tips of the trees are a bit of All Night Media stamp called Winter Trees. The river is my scribble and the faux jewels are from my stash.. sounds like a lot of trouble for an ATC that took a very short while to make, and just came together perfectly for me..hope you like it.
