Challenge ATC's

I made these two ATC's for the sheer joy of crafting, and decided, although it's a bit late - to put them in two challenges -- Ice Blue Indian for TMTA and the Beeswax Valentine, which I had enormous fun making, for the Arty Girls challenge, which was just to make an ATC. The lady on the red ATC is a Crafty Individuals image and the Indian was a Joanna Sheen image - the metal tag saying is from Senti-Metals.

Cards ..

I made these cards for friend's birthdays, one is horse mad and the other loves oriental stuff - so I used a Laura Ashley stamp for both backgrounds, stippling them both with a hard bristle brush and backing the Hero Arts butterfly collage with a cuttlebug embossed piece of toning card. I also painted the butterfly with Twinkling H20's and finished it off with a tiny, hand tied bow. The horse is a Joanna Sheen image from one of her cd's. I printed the sheet of toppers off on photo paper - it's come up quite well..

Another Award WooHoooo !!!

Hope this month is the start of a brilliant year for me and mine, and you and yours too, whoever is reading this little post. I have been given another lovely award by my SBS sister Stevie over at ..Create with Stevie..

I have to nominate at least 7 others, and unlike my previous award, which had no 'must do's ' and where I was lazy and awarded it to everyone simply because I love everyone, this time I have thought long and hard about it, as is normal in this life, you can't choose everyone, so here goes for my 7 nominees ....

1.Lynn
2.Judy
3.Kirsten
4.Ginger
5.Kristen
6.Sandie R
7.Sue

New Award

My friend Sue has awarded me this lovely cup - no notes, or instructions or lists to go with it, so it must be a 'No strings attached' award - I like those ones - I normally end up leaving someone out who I wanted to include - so, like my SBS sister Christina, I will just say to everyone who visits my blog, take this award with my love and blessings ...

Pink Saturday

Today's little treasure is shared with the blessings of her Nanna Kristen, her name is Peyton, -- look at those tresses, such a beautiful colour!!
and a perfect pink post for Pink Saturday, over at How Sweet the Sound go and visit Beverley and see all the other lovely pink things. I also wanted to share with you some home truths that a friend of mine emailed to me, asome of these are so true and since my posts mostly consist of beautiful little girls dressed in pink, I thought these sayings were just perfect!

GREAT TRUTHS THAT LITTLE CHILDREN HAVE LEARNED:

1) No matter how hard you try, you can't baptize cats.

2) When your mom is mad at your dad, don't let her brush your hair.

3) If your sister hits you, don't hit her back. They always catch the second person

4) Never ask your 3-year old brother to hold a tomato.

5) You can't trust dogs to watch your food.

6) Don't sneeze when someone is cutting your hair.

7) Never hold a dust-buster and a cat at the same time.

8) You can't hide a piece of broccoli in a glass of milk.

9) Don't wear polka-dot underwear under white shorts.

10) The best place to be when you're sad is Grandpa's lap.

Happy Pink Saturday everyone xx

Forever..

The stamp I used for this card is a huge Elusive Images stamp, which I stamped twice and cut out the lovers from the second image. This is for an engagement card with a difference, and was coloured with watercolour pencils ..

Magic Moments

For some reason, the background hasn't shown up on the scan - it's like a cross hatched pattern in pale blue - which is a shame because it sets the whole thing off.
These two cheeky chappies are painted with Twinkling H20's

Pink Saturday

I haven't had time to do any blogging for a couple of weeks now, so I must apologise to all who visit me. Beverly over at How Sweet the Sound is hosting Pink Saturday again so you must all visit the lovely pink things on so many lovely people's blogs ......my post this week is another pink little girl. I think her eyes captivated me underneath that little bonnet... I have had a hectic time over Christmas and New Year, but now, everything is back to normal again and I am starting to feel hyper again -- need to get back to making cards and challenges. I have a lot of cards ready to go over to Spain for a friend's animal charity, and here, in UK, we have several charities for children with cancer, Hope House and Claire House to name two of them - so next I will start making a bunch of cards to donate to them, I normally do around 20 for each charity shop ......busy, busy, busy - back to normal. Happy Pink Saturday everyone.
