Happy New Year

I am greeting the new year with a picture taken from a magazine produced by a small animal charity, Freshfields, whose main aim is to rescue ponies, sheep, dogs, cats, pot-bellied pigs and anything else four legged that is thrown out, particularly at this time of year, when people still persist in buying cuddly baby animals for Christmas presents, they have too many of everything, from rabbits upwards and run two or three small shops selling donated goods towards the cost of feedstuff, bedding etc......
I am also using this picture for my Pink Saturday entry, because I feel that charity is something that touches all our lives somtimes, So to Beverley at How Sweet the Sound, and to everyone who visits, Happy Pink Saturday, and Happy New Year xxx

It's Nearly Christmas..

Thank goodness I have finished all my cards now, these are the last three to go out - famous last words, because there is always somebody who sends you a card and you forgot to put them on your list, so it's a quick New Year card ......one of these is for the bungalow across the road from us, the people only moved in over the last couple of days, and I don't even know their names yet, but hey - a card pushed through the letterbox welcoming them costs nothing but a bit of time ...

here's my ATC with a lamp in it's a Magenta stamp. The shame is that the scan doesn't pick up the glitter, which really sparkles on the snowy foreground ..

Pink Saturday

Couple of different photos for you today for Pink Saturday. I found another sweet little pink baby for you and a photo of a rug I made a few years ago. It is photographed in our last house, and is almost 6ft long by 3.5ft wide - took me ages to make it. I call it my Thoughts rug, because apart from the sun in the centre, the other colours were laid because I thought they blended together ok.. Warm and Cozy and Bows

I made two ATC's for the challenge at One Powerful House (link over on the left) one with a chipboard tag and stamps to match it, and the other with a tiny House Mouse stamp which I shall also enter in Wednesday Stamper, Bows. (The Link for this challenge is also on the left hand side of my blog.

French Cafe ..

I never lose sight of my charity cards, even though I have a break from giving many out over the Christmas period, but I still make them, and cello-bag them, and put them in a box for storage, until after the holiday season. I know people have birthdays around Christmas time, and I always include a few festive birthday cards, but it's my time of relaxation and rest, of cooking for Ray and myself and our elderly neighbour who loves being spoilt. We have invited him round for Christmas dinner again this year, because he lives alone now and I can't imagine him sharing a solitary turkey leg on Christmas day with his cats, so I feed him and send loads of bits back home with him for his pussy cats dinners - and then everyone is happy....hey ho, Christmas is nearly here ...........
