More cards from Bad Penny days

I am posting these cards to show appreciation to the wonderful ladies who send me goodies to use for my cards and for myself, can't say a big enough THANK YOU to you for your help xxx Sue, Nancy and Carol - luvs ya loads xxx

Like the proverbial Bad Penny - I turned up again :-)

I really don't know where the hours and days and weeks go, they just fly past in a haze of all the things I do, and a lot more things that I should do, but never get round to doing, like putting cards on my blog for instance.. I have so many 'outlets' now, for my cards, charity outlets that is, that I am spoilt for choice and just can't get the amount done that I would like to, simply because time and health and normal living quite often get in the way... I send cards to a distribution centre for our soldiers overseas, to a veterans hospital in USA, to a Navy post in Portugal, to a couple of local childrens cancer respite home charities and am now making some for a local animal welfare kennels, so life is good, and very, very full and I am happy - what more is there eh?

Back at Last !!

Well, where has the time gone, I have been beavering away with my cards, with a friend moving into the area, with the mundane happenings of real life, including looking after a farm and a garden on Facebook - and then I had an email from Lyn, was I ok because I hadn't been on my blog - and I promised, two weeks ago that I would put some cards on muy rapido - well, my brain became defunct and I didn't for which I apologise, but here are a couple of photos of cards (how unusual) ....
the little silver dots on the Elvis lookalike card and the leopard card are called card confetti, sent to me by Carol - see her link down the left hand side..

Ruby Anniversary Card.

I made this card for my aunt to give two close friends of hers - the base card is white, the beautiful scrolled red and gold acetate front of the card is half a Kanban sheet - one half red - the other half grey - absolutely lush !!, I also bought a matching sheet of card - half red, half grey ...So, I attached the acetate front with see-through ds tape and used peel off wording and flowers, and a gorgeous bit of toning ribbon. The inside of the card was the other half of the card that matched the acetate, patterns matching the front, and to it I attached a gorgeous decoupage rose plate which was part of a set of three diecut decoupage sheets, the tiny rose also finished off the verse page.
Hope you like it.

Art Deco card

This is a fancy fold card, I picked the idea up whilst blog hopping, but forgot to write down the name, so if you visit, whoever you are, thank you and I love your ideas. I made it with two sheets of A4 card, a beige mottled sheet and gold mirri card. The mottled card was sliced up to fit into the folds of the gold card. The word stamps were Stampin Up and the image is Hampton Arts Cozy Lady... I held the folds in place with thin double sided tape and finished off with some jewelled brads in toning colours..

Finally, I can post this today as it is my friend Carol's birthday (link down the left hand side) and it was made for her.

Loads'n loads of goodies..

I tell you this much, sister bloggers, since I keep having these senior moments, and forget to say 'No Thank You' when someone (like hubby) offers to buy me more craft goodies, and because I need to ring the changes so much with my charity cards (can't keep doing the same images can I?) well, when a special day happens - like every day is special to me, but today is more so, because today is my birthday, I have had a week of absolute crafting heaven, got some really super-dooper pressies, some beautiful hand-crafted cards and rounded it all off with lunch out today and yet another visit to a craft shop - and because my arthritis is behaving itself, life is very good at the moment and I am so happy I could burst !! I wish you all lived closer and we could share a crafty session or two :-) ....
