Wednesday Stamper - Open Theme

I just made this card for a friend whose sister has died, and thought I would use it for Wednesday Stamper challenge this week. The card is totally stamped in black ink, and I just touched the flowers with chalks for a little colour. The colour under artificial light is not as bright as it should be.
Here is the Link

Spooky Tin

I altered this tin a while ago, and thought I would have a bit of fun for Halloween
and a challenge or two, since the lips and eyes were stamped ...I think it may be suitable for One Powerful Hour as their challenge theme is Spooky.

A New Award - Premio Dardos

This award acknowledges the values that every blogger shows in his/her effort to transmit cultural, ethical, literary and personal values every day.The rules to follow are ....1) Accept the award, post it on your blog together with the name of the person that has granted the award and his or her blog link.2) Pass the award to other 15 blogs that are worthy of this acknowledgment.Remember to contact each of them to let them know they have been chosen for this award.I would like to thank my new blog friend Ginger for this important award; I am honoured that she has chosen my blog among the 15 blogs to be awarded. Now it is my turn to pass it on to other 15 blogs... this is not an easy task as all the blogs I visit merit this acknowledgment but I have to go by the rules and choose only 15.

Now I should choose 15 good and true blogs I visit regularly, well, I can't because there are just so many people who I think should have an award, so instead, I would like EVERYONE who visits my blog to help themselves to this award, and place it on their own blog with my love.

Shabby Chic Moo at Creative Wednesday

Better late than never - I was trawling through a few creative blogs, as you do, and I found this lovely challenge blog, and since I just looooove moos, I thought I would have a go. I used one of Hermines lovely vintage images, stamped a stitched zigzag down my moo with Walnut Distress Ink, and rubbed Milled Lavendar Distress Ink over the whole thing and finished off with a lovely little heart for a bit of ooo-la-la....chic !! Pop over to Creative Wednesday and check out the lovely stuff on their blog...and thank you Hermine
for the lovely image.

Forgot to say, I placed my moo on black card and put a woven heart behind for emphasis.

Pretty Paper Hearts - Abstract

Patricia, over at Pretty Paper Hearts has a lovely challenge this week - an abstract heart, with or without images......well ~~ see what I have created. My heart is cut from one of the papers that are always at my side when I craft - I try out colours, stamps whatever ...so it is a ready made background which I think is abstract, and the images are stamped ones cut from yet another of my papers, so nothing for my heart was made or created deliberately, only the finished product, I also used up a tiny Joanna Sheen garden image.
Plus - I feel a darn sight warmer here at home. We visited a local town this morning, Mold in North Wales, and there was SNOW on the hills bbrrrrr ......couldn't wait to come home again, because it's been heaving down with rain as well - yuk ..

Make a Moo or Two - Tone on Tone..

I used Tattered Angels for my moos this week, and Brilliance Pink and a deeper pink cats eye for the words - finished off the butterfly with glaze and found some tiny matching flowers..
There are some gorgeous moos over here..

Theme Thursday - The Sun

My challenge this week is very simple - I tried to convey a view we see often whilst walking with our dog - its a lone tree on a small hillock and on a winter evening the sun is quite often huge behind it... the image is stamped and coloured with chalks for a softer image. Pop over to Theme Thursday to see all the lovely sun images Here is the Link

One Powerful Hour - Repetition.

I made a box to hold a small silk scarf I bought for an elderly aunt, and thought it may be ok to enter for a challenge blog I found at One Powerful Hour since I used the same shell stamp to repeat my design on the box.

Small World of Inchies and Twinchies - Pink Ribbon

My twinchie this week is very simple, but I hope it conveys a powerful message. A baby, a pink ribbon and hope for the future. The baby stamp is from a Stampin Up set and the ribbon is my own. I have laid the twinchie on a background made from Tattered Angels Rose, Turquoise and Gold. Pop across to the SWIT blog and have a look at all the little marvels ..Here is the Link

GOTHIC ARCH - Haute Couture..

Why not pop over to Gothic Arches and check them out for yourselves .......

SBS24 challenge - Autumn

The challenge on SBS24 this week is something concerning Autumn/harvest and as I wanted to make a card for a friend, I thought I would combine the two.......have included a part of the insert - I love these words, not exactly a verse but just right for the card, it's a stamp I bought yesterday..
Click on the photos to enlarge them for a closer look. I used DCWV Far East card for the background and stick on jewels and a hand-tied bow for embellishment.

Stampin Up cards ...

I have a treasure trove of S.U. goodies from a friend in U.S.A. so here are three cards ready for my charity box - I want to make around 200 more for different charities before Christmas - will post a pic when I have more done - mostly the cards were made with S.U. products - just a touch of Joanna Sheen and a few different inks to add a bit of pizzazz......
Click on the picture to enlarge the cards for a closer look.

PINK SATURDAY

I am later this week posting my Pink Saturday photo because I have been out for some retail therapy -- twice a year we have a small craft show for cardmakers and trubber stampers - my idea of heaven - so I met a friend for lunch and watched a lot of lovely ladies and gents demonstrating new and exciting ideas.

My photo is of two of my own plants, a Cyclamen and an Aftrican Violet. I am particularly proud of the violet because I started it from a leaf - so I have watched it grow and flourish and flower !!
Pink Saturday is over on How Sweet the Sound

Pink Saturday

I found a wonderful blog that everyone should visit at least once. Brilliante Weblog

I am sooo happy, and really chuffed with this award from Sandie at Sandie's Sanctuary. She was on my list for an award, and it seems we both thought the same thoughts ...I will get round to posting my list fairly soon, at the moment I am so tired I haven't even done any challenges. We finished moving the fish into their new pool, and we bought loads of top soil and improver for the raised garden area (where the pool was) I am now in the process of moving shrubs to fill my new garden with, plants that have managed in pots until now, but will soon have their own breathing space.
