Pink Saturday

Another couple of photos are of parts of my collections, one my hubby's thimble collection and another one is some of my doggie collection. The Chinese Altar dogs are quite old, and so is the pointer in the middle.

I'm posting this a little early this week because tomorrow is a very busy day for me and I am not sure what time I will be blogging.....my photo's are varied, but all have pink in them, one I took today of my Christmas Cactus which is full of lovely 'double' flowers.. USED POSTAGE STAMPS WANTED PLEASE..

I am collecting used postage stamps for the RSPB, which is the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds in UK, although they do massive good works abroad as well. They are collecting the stamps to sell on to fund projects such as saving the Albatross, which is now an endangered species. These magnificent birds are being killed by getting hooked on trailing fishing lines which are baited with fish. The birds see the fish - and either swallow the hooks or get caught on them, and either way die dreadful, painful deaths. There are better lines and methods for these fishermen to use and the RSPB is sending trained people out there to help educate the families, please help if you can, I will gladly refund your postage ......thank you xx

TMTA - Food or Drink

TMTA has a food or drink theme for the ATC's. so I am using this cupcake ATC which I have made for a group swap that I belong to - as usual for me, the images are stamped and coloured with gel pens.

New Award

A couple of days ago I was awarded a new blog award by the lovely Christina, and the simple rules are:
you state 6 things you value, 6 things you don't and 6 new people to nominate ..
whew - well, thank you Christina, I am really pleased ........so here goes.. I am not putting the usual things down, because you have all seen them before and I think everyone has profound and spiritual beliefs..I tried to look beyond the obvious ..

1. I value the love and companionship of my husband.
2. I value the trust my dog has in me.
3. I value the fact that I am still able to help others.
4. I value my friends (the ones I could call at 3.00am and ask for help!)
5. I value each new day.
6. I value everything in nature, because there is always something wonderful to
see or listen to..


1. I do not like the lack of values in lots of other people
2. Or their lack of respect for their country or their elders..
3. Or their lack of regard for our planet Earth, without which none of us would
be here!!

5. I hate queue jumpers of any kind, and for any reason!!

who, no matter what happens, always knew it would !!!

Pink Saturday

Well it's Pink Saturday again, how quickly the time rolls past us, and how important it is to notice everything and not to take things for granted. Our world is full of gifts and miracles, we just need to stand and look sometimes, take time out from our busy lives and just see the tiny miracles in everyday life - over at How Sweet the Sound Bev has invited over 100 lovely people to show their small miracles and works of art and things to be proud of - pop over and see them. My photos this week are all landscapes and sunsets - NONE of the photo's are mine, I have to thank internet friends for these images, but they are so lovely I wanted to share them with you. The one thing these photos have in common is the pink bits they all have :-)
EDIT - the final photo I am posting has just been sent to me, and this little girl says it all for me .........I offer no reason for posting it, except hope for the future !!

Wednesday Stamper - telephone

Wednesday Stamper this week has the telephone as a challenge. This is ideal for me, as I have just made a card with just this theme. The stamp is B Line Designs and is called Chatty. The song I thought of was - Long distance information give me Memphis, Tennessee....

TMTA - Purple

late this week with my TMTA challenge piece, but I made a purple atc, dot swirl stamp part of an unmounted plate by Inkadinkadoo..

Pretty Paper Hearts

Pretty Paper Hearts has an interesting theme this week, 'last night I danced with the fairies,' so I made my heart with a fairy, a butterfly and swirly dreams and eyes to watch over you as you sleep.

Mixed Media Monday - Body Parts

I created two atc's for Mixed Media Monday, one with Eye and one with Legs, because I thought they would be different. Materials used were stamps - Laura Ashley, Inkadinkadoo, Rubbadubbadoo and Rubber Romance. Background - Tattered Angels Rose and Turquoise, Sakura Glaze pen and Marvy pen.Here is the Link for MMM I don't know why the sides of my Legs atc bow out, but they should be straight :-(

Pink Saturday.

Pink Saturday is here again, once more the lovely Bev has hosted this special day - pop over and see all kinds of pink things, some very precious eye-candy !! Both my pictures today I had sent to me in emails, if I infringe copyright I apologise and will withdraw them immediately but I couldn't find anything out about either photo, and I loved them both, plus, I have found another friends picture for you to share if you would like it on your blog. The challenge over on Theme Thursday this weekis Happy or Happiness. I created two ATC's - one of each - when I am creating or baking - Heavy Metal music makes me happy, and my little lady stamp by Art Expressions is a picture of Happiness -

One Powerful Hour - Christmas Decorations

I am using this card as my challenge piece for One Powerful Hour - it's a lot more sparkly than shows up, but it's Christmas decorations ..which is the challenge!!
The decorations were hung with bits of peel off border - you know, the bits we all save, but rarely use !!
