One Powerful Hour - Maps

My trusty Hero Arts map stamp comes out again, with a Magenta galleon and a scrap of black ribbon - this makes a nice card for a man I think and also complies with the theme of this weeks challenge over at One Powerful Hour - pop across and view the artwork ....

SBS - Christmas in July

The Blogging Sisters group challenge today is Christmas in July. Since I need lots of Christmas cards for my hospital charity desks, I thought, great, an early start, so I made these three cards with Papermania Joyeaux Noel stamp set, and Docrafts (I think) images, hope you like them !!

One Powerful Hour - Sport

I love challenges that make you think outside the box, and I certainly did for this one - I have a lone male golfer stamp that I have used and reused, but I decided to go a different route and seek out an image from my computer. I save so many images, and hardly ever use them - so here goes. my take on the theme of Sport over on One Powerful Hour this week is Polo. The image is from a cd of images for cardmakers, sorry don't know the name.

Cards for the Troops

Just a NOTE in case anyone is interested, I have been asked if I would possibly make a few extra cards and donate them to a local craft shop - these are then distributed to our lads abroad, a different platoon each time. What a worthwhile idea. Apparently, some of the soldiers, in desert conditions, don't have the luxury of being able to buy cards to send home, so all types are needed, for all occasions. Nice to be able to help.

Just to show I have been playing nicely !!

My lovely friend Sue, from Sue's Art Stuff , sent me a huge envelope full of goodies for me to use on my charity cards, so just to show I really haven't been swanning round country piles all the time, here are a few of my latest cards, around 60 I think - mostly finished, just a few to finish off, adding inserts and putting into bags etc ...

Hug a Tree

Getting away from crafting for a change, we have visited lots of lovely National Trust properties over the past month, since we have had gorgeous weather, we both decided to use our lovely picnic hampers and go out and do something different ...it's surprising what you find when you aren't looking for anything !!
These were taken at Bodnant Gardens in North Wales - some of the trees there are so seriously huge, you feel very humble, and of course, you have to hug them !! ~The laburnum arch is a famous spring feature of the gardens ..

OPH - Summer

I made this ATC as part of a set a while ago, and I think it epitomises Summer for me, so shall use it for the One Powerful Hour challenge. Why not pop over to One Powerful Hour and see what summer means to other people.
